In 2015, a compilation of the first two games was released for Microsoft Windows through Steam, by Retroism, the video game software subsidiary of Tommo. There are six games that have been released in the series: Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, Bubsy II, Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales, Bubsy is 3D in "Furbitten Planet", Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back and Bubsy: Paws on Fire! In 1996, a special version of the first game, titled Super Bubsy, was released for Windows 95. The games were originally released for the Super NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Boy, Jaguar, PC and PlayStation during the 1990s. The games star an anthropomorphic bobcat named Bubsy, a character that takes inspiration from Super Mario Bros.
